Dr. Janice Huntingford has a special interest in all forms of pain management. She strives to advance the field of pain management and improve the lives of animals in pain through an integrative model of care. She has advanced training and is a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner. As such she treats all kinds of acute and chronic pain including osteoarthritis, muscle pain, pain of the nerves and spine, and post-surgical and cancer pain.

Signs that your dog is in Pain
- Reluctance to go up or down stairs
- Reluctance to jump up on furniture
- Reluctance to walk on slippery surfaces
- Getting up by pulling with front legs
- Limited running and jumping
- Slowing down or sitting down on walks
- Excess panting
- Abnormal nail wear
- Stiffness in the morning or after rising
- Behavioral changes such as aggression or decreased play behavior
- Aversion to being petted
- Loss of house training
Signs that your cat is in pain
- Reluctance to jump up on counters or chairs
- Decreased play behaviour
- Excess grooming
- Loss of litter box training
- Lack of sharpening claws
- Dislike of being petted or groomed
